Thomas BöttcherThomas Böttcher

Thomas has a  background in chemistry and biochemistry. From his postdoctoral research at TU Munich he made the transition to becoming co-founder and Science Manager of the Munich based biotec start-up AVIRU Gmbh. Currently he leads a research group at Constance University to explorate new ways to overcome the increasing development of antibiotic resistances.

Jörn BungartzJörn Bungartz

As acting Head of Product of the Berlin based venture builder meisterwerk ventures, Jörn shapes new product- and business model ideas into the basis for viable new startups. He builds on a solid technical background, having been a renowned hacker in his youth, selling his first software product at the age of 15, later building complex embedded systems for customers from the automotive, avionics and automation industry. For 7 years he lead and coached the product management team of a big medical device multi-national before going full-time entrepreneur in 2015.

Michael DieboldMichael Diebold

Michael Diebold is a serial inventor in the area of technology with several patents on his name. He has a mixed academical background of electrical engineering and IT. In recent years he has created and led a multidisciplinary thinktank for a multinational in the healthcare branch. Currently, he has set up his own thinktank and venture maker, with an experienced multidisciplinary team of out-of the-box thinkers.

Peter Gräser begleitet Start-ups, junge und mittelständische Unternehmen „ab ovo“ bei der Enwicklung neuer Geschäftsmodelle (nicht nur digitaler), bei der Strategie (besonders ihrer Umsetzung: get things done!) sowie bei der Personal- und Organisationsentwicklung (ripe to scaling up). Entrepreneurship | Unternehmertum ist seine Leidenschaft, einer der Gründe, warum er zusammen mit Evgeni Kouris und Moritz Kreppel den German Entrepreneurship Circle der Alumni der Studienstiftung e.V. gegründet hat. Aktuell arbeitet er unter anderem an der Integration von Start-up und (akademischer) Ausbildung: Mit dem eigenen Unternehmen einen MBA machen.

Kurt Herrenknecht ist promovierter Diplom Biologe mit mehr als 20-jähriger internationaler Berufserfahrung im Bereich der präklinischen und klinischen Arzneimittelforschung in der pharmazeutischen und biotechnologischen Industrie. Er bringt eine fundierte Expertise in den Bereichen Forschung & Entwicklung, Projekt Management, Produkt Management, Business Development und Vertrieb mit sich und ist seit 2011 selbständig als Consultant für Life Science Unternehmen tätig. In dieser Funktion berät und unterstützt er sowohl innovative junge Start-ups als auch bereits am Markt etablierte Unternehmen.

Dr. Barbara JonischkeitDr. Barbara Jonischkeit

Dr. Barbara Jonischkeit ist Biologin und seit 2003 bei der BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg Leiterin der Kommunikation. Sie begleitet maßgeblich die strategische Weiterentwicklung der Landesgesellschaft. Heute verantwortet sie unter anderem die zentralen Fachinformationsportale zu Gesundheitsindustrie BW und Bioökonomie BW. Zu ihrem Tätigkeitsspektrum gehören unter anderem auch Branchenanalysen, Kooperationsanbahnung, Innovationskommunikation und die Unterstützung von Life Sciences-Gründungen. Vor ihrer Zeit bei der BIOPRO war sie in der Unternehmensberatung bei Ernst & Young und später bei CapGemini tätig. Ihr Beratungsfokus lag auf Projekten zur Standortentwicklung und Projekten in der Life Sciences Branche.

Ramon KranasterRamon Kranaster

Ramon received his PhD degree 2010 in Chemistry from the University of Konstanz, after conducting his research in the group of Professor Marx. In the following years he was researching on DNA structures during a postdoctoral stay at the University of Cambridge, UK, in the group of Professor Balasubramanian and afterwards working for Touchlight Genetics in London. In the year 2013, Ramon moved back to Germany in order to found myPOLS Biotec together with his former supervisor Professor Marx as a spin-off from the University of Konstanz. Since 2014, myPOLS has successfully developed several approaches for the directed evolution of DNA polymerases and its major focus is the development of novel DNA polymerases through directed evolution and rational design. Ramon and his team is engineering DNA polymerases customized for specific applications in Biotechnology.
